No more excuses...

Ok, nobody has an excuse not to subscribe to RSS feeds anymore. Google has a feed reader now.

I kid, I kid. I won’t be giving up NetNewsWire (or that reader I like on Windows which I can’t remember because I haven’t touched it in 6 months.. but I like it).

Life can move along once more. Until Google owns us all, then we’ll spend all day searching each other.

Seriously though. Everyone who pishawed or shrugged at the mentiond of RSS or Atom or subscribing to a news feed now has no reason to not get with the program.

Ok, now I should go review the darn thing.

At the stage it's at, I wouldn't bother writing a review yet. It's flat out horrible at this stage. I know it's still "beta" (as with most Google apps) but this thing deserves to be called 'alpha'. I'll stay with Bloglines for now.

I'll agree with you there. I spent a little time playing with it and while I'm impressed with what they are trying to do, it has a *long* way to go. Most notable, it couldn't handle my OPML file exported from NetNewsWire. I tried to upload it and it just stared off into space for a while. An import of a smaller group of 20 feeds worked fairly well though. It also didn't seem to want to list the feeds I had imported till I played around with it for quite a while. It was nice to be able to tag my feeds. NetNewsWire, when are you going to add that? I'm just happy to see easy to use aggregators out there I can point people to when mentioning this crazy RSS thing. Who am I kidding anyway. I'm certainly not going to use a web-based reader myself (at least for normal reading).
